Project overview
The Escravos–Warri crude trunk line had suffered repeated unplanned shutdowns due to corrosion and third-party interference. Energy Consulting Practice was appointed to design and implement a comprehensive integrity management programme. This included intelligent pigging campaigns, direct assessment of high-consequence areas, cathodic protection upgrades, and a real-time leak detection system integration. Within 18 months of programme implementation, unplanned downtime had fallen from 31 days/year to 11 days/year.
Key achievements
164% reduction in unplanned pipeline downtime
2220km pipeline fully pigged and assessed
3Real-time leak detection system installed
4Cathodic protection system fully upgraded
