Project overview
The OML-47 project represented one of the most technically challenging deep-offshore developments in the Niger Delta. Energy Consulting Practice served as technical operator, managing the full life-cycle from appraisal well design through to facilities hook-up and first oil. The programme involved drilling two production wells and one water injection well using a semi-submersible rig in 1,100m water depth. A fast-track FPSO tie-back was executed using pre-agreed frame agreements, reducing cycle time by 14 months vs conventional project delivery.
Key achievements
1First oil achieved 14 months ahead of schedule
212,000 BOE/day peak plateau production
3Zero LTI across 4.2 million man-hours
4CO₂ intensity 22% below industry benchmark
